The web address for GOAPS (GATE Online Application Processing System)
“GATE Online Application Processing System website will open from
September 11, 2020 (Friday)“.
Interested Candidates must go through the application instructions listed below, before filling GATE application form:
- Candidate has to visit the GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) to register for GATE Exam.
- The Online GATE Application form will be started on 14th September 2020 (Monday).
- After the Registration Candidate has to verify their email & phone number.
- Candidates need to fill necessary details & upload important documents like a photograph, signature, certificate of qualifying degree, category certificate (SC/ST/PwD) during the online application form.
- Before submitting the GATE Online application form candidate has to pay the Application Fee.
- The candidates should not send any hard copy of application form/documents etc. to the conducting institution or any of the zonal GATE offices.

GATE 2021 Application Form Correction
The conducting authority of GATE 2021 will provide the GATE Application Form correction facility. Candidates can make corrections in some fields by paying some correction charges.
Candidates can do these changes after the GATE Application Form deadline over. The correction form window will be open in the Second Week of November and end in the third week of November 2020.

GATE 2021 Registration
GATE aspirants may use this GOAPS interface for GATE Exam Registration. Here we providing some basic information related to GATE Registration.
- Candidate should apply from GOAPS (Online Mode Only) for the GATE Exam.
- Online Registration will start from 1st September 2020
- The Last date to fill the online application form will be 24th September 2020
- Candidates have to register as a “New User” for GATE examination registration on GOAPS.
- After Successful registration candidate will access their GOAPS account using Enrollment ID & Password
- After that candidate should fill & complete the GATE Application Form.
GATE 2021 Exam Pattern
Question paper for GATE all 27 branches will consist of a single paper of 3 hours duration and contains 65 questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks.
GATE question paper mainly consists following type of questions:
(i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) carrying 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. These questions are objective in nature, and each will have a choice of four answers, out of which the candidate has to mark the correct answer(s).
(ii) Numerical Answer Questions of 1 or 2 marks each in all papers and sections. For these questions the answer is a real number, to be entered by the candidate using the virtual keypad. No choices will be shown for this type of question.
GATE Paper Marking Scheme
For 1-mark multiple-choice questions, 1/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. Likewise, for 2-mark multiple-choice questions, a 2/3 mark will be deducted for a wrong answer. There is NO negative marking for numerical answer type questions.
